METALLICA's Collaboration With JA RULE Delayed Until June!
March 6, 2002METALLICA's collaboration with rapper JA RULE and producer Swizz Beatz in the form of a track called "We Did It Again" will not be available to the public until June 11th, according to hip hop news site Y2HIPHOP (as reported by Encyclopedia Metallica). The release date of the Swizz Beatz compilation album Ghetto Stories Volume 1, featuring the aforementioned track, was originally scheduled to be issued through Dreamworks Records on May 14th, but has now apparently been pushed back for reasons that were not disclosed.
As previously reported, the METALLICA track will reportedly be the only rock cut on the album, which will also include contributions from Ronald Isley and Shyne, among others. "We Did It Again" will feature JA RULE rapping over two 12-bar verses accompanied by the group's trademark crunch, while rest of the song is instrumental and does not include contributions from vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield (who was in rehab when the track was laid down last August).
